Dr. Rebecca Lumsden

The Hubert Yeargan Center (HYC) for Global Health at Duke facilities clinical training opportunity for Duke residents and fellows from across multiple disciplines. Residents and fellows from various training programs can apply to participate in a clinical elective in Galle, Sri Lanka to work alongside faculty and trainees from Ruhuna University at the Teaching Hospital Karapitiya. These rotations are designed to provide meaningful clinical experiences while fostering a deeper understanding of diverse cultural contexts and health systems. The overarching goal is to help trainees develop the skills, perspectives, and adaptability needed to deliver effective, compassionate care in a wide range of global health settings.
